The struggle is real! So many of us women struggle with the feeling of “I’m not enough” or I’m too much”. The unmet desires of our hearts leave us feeling unseen, unsought and uncertain…..which lead us to pour contempt on our own hearts for wanting more. The heart of the woman is the most important thing about her.
Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life – Proverbs 4:23 God knows that our heart is the core of who we are…..His dwelling place in us! We long for certain things because he does.
Core desires of a woman’s heart? To be romanced, to have an irreplaceable role in a great adventure and to be the beauty.
We want to feel wanted and fought for but we tend to downplay it. — I am woman, hear me roar? We want to be romanced…pursued, desired and wanted as a woman…to be someone’s priority. How many idols or addictions have we turned to when this desire is not met?
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. – Deuteronomy 4:29 Our desire/ache to be romanced is justified. In the image of God it is reflected in this verse. God wants is to pursue Him with all of our heart and soul…He wants to be our priority.
We are made in the image of God, the Holy Trinity. Our lives are meant to be lived with others. As echoes of the Trinity, we remember something. Made in the image of a perfect relationship, we are relational to the core of our beings and filled with a desire for transcendent purpose. We long to be an irreplaceable part or a shared adventure.
Have you hardened your heart to the desire to be Romanced and to be the Beauty? What hurts in your life had lead to this hardened heart? The desire for a beauty to unveil is much deeper than our outward appearance. It flows from an inward beauty. Because we are created in His image, we do possess it! One thing I ask from the Lord, This only do I seek: That I may dwell in the house or the Lord, all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. – Psalm 27:4
